We're John and Lauren Dixson of Johnny Beans, a unique hospitality corporation specializing in creating experiences that foster community and help build relationships, one cup at a time. Contact us to see what all the buzz is about! John Dixson retired from a corporate job to pursue his dream of owning his own business. After witnessing the growing popularity of coffee shops on a trip to California, John knew that he wanted to bring the coffee movement to Austin.
He was recruited by a world-class Italian espresso machine manufacturer and was a quick study, learning all about coffee, espresso and the true artisan skill of being a master barista. Working with a local roaster, he created an awarding-winning espresso blend that he used to become the 1997 U.S. Barista World Series Champion, in Portland, Oregon.
John developed the idea, designed and created a self-contained mobile espresso cart and Johnny Beans espresso catering service was born. Lauren Dixson, also known as Mrs. Bean, having worked 20 years in a corporate setting, jumped on board and joined her husband at Johnny Beans.
