Rasta Taco(R) was born on a hot afternoon in Jamaica when Mario "Maji" Melendez, a former clothing designer, found himself scribbling down ideas on a napkin, poolside in a resort. Little did he know his vacation dreams of bringing local Jamaican jerk chicken to the United States would turn into opening a restaurant on the island and grow into a popular mobile Mexican-Jamaican-fusion taco cart catering business in California.
Today we bring Mario's famous "one love" concept to weddings, corporate events, parties, and anywhere happiness and tacos can be delivered! Rasta Taco(R) has since expanded into two venues: a Cantina in Joshua Tree and a small but mighty restaurant in Laguna Beach only steps from the Southern California surf.
