Following graduation from culinary school, Terry worked as a sous chef at Legal Sea Foods' catering division in Boston before opening up her own restaurant, Mise en Place, on Lehner Street in Wolfeboro in 2001.

It was one of the best meals I'd have during my stay in Wolfeboro; the pan-roasted salmon, infused with red Thai curry and accompanied by pineapple and ginger salsa, was not what I expected to find in the woodsy middle of the state that brought us Aerosmith and Adam Sandler.

The baby lamb chops with pure of mint and peas appetizer combined familiar flavors in a new way, and my watermelon and feta salad with fresh herbs and lemon-champagne vinaigrette was delicious.
