Dexter M Barnett, the owner of D. Myles Restaurant Group. Chef Dexter's love of cooking started at a young age. As a child Dexter sold fried dough to the local neighborhood kids. Dexter attended Crosby High where he was part of Crosby's culinary program and a member of the F.C.C.L.A. After high school, Dexter worked at local restaurants while attending culinary school at Connecticut Culinary Institute.
While in school, Dexter completed his internship in Bar Harbor, Maine at Bar Harbor Inn. Dexter also worked at a local diner while in Maine. While in school, Dexter became a member of the American Culinary Federation also known as the A.C.F. Dexter graduated at C.C.I. in 2009 with a certification in Advanced Culinary Arts. During Dexter's professional career, he had the opportunity to work at various catering companies and restaurants.
In 2016, Chef Dexter decided to step out on faith and start his own company, D. Myles Restaurant Group, also known as D. Myles Chef & Catering where our goal is to feed the soul and make every moment a soulful experience.
