Express Kafeh was created in 2011 by Serge Butman, a seasoned Event Planner and self-proclaimed coffee junkie.
Like many great ideas, the company's inception was quite accidental - it was actually Serge's wife who sparked the idea.
A high school principal in Montreal, she wanted to do something special for the teachers and decided to serve gourmet coffee for Teacher Appreciation week.
Serge searched the entire island for a coffee-bar catering company and, much to his surprise, none existed.
Not wanting to disappoint his wife, he rented a commercial espresso machine, bought the best available coffee beans, and hired a barista.
