Bashful Butler

We had our?th class reunion at Hurst Ranch last night, and Bashful Butler provided a great spread! Because they're the preferred caterer for the Ranch, they know their way around so we were confident there would be no problems. The food was excellent! Served buffet style, there was great variety and everything was fresh, seasoned to perfection, and the hot foods were hot and the cold foods were cold. (I'm a little persnickety about such things.) The staff moved about the room stealthily clearing dishes and ensuring folks were happy. All of the 144 in attendance seemed happy and certainly well fed, which led to a joyful reunion of lifelong friends. Thanks, Bashful Butler!

Attended a wedding at Hurst Ranch. Help my friend with decorating. Wasnt too impressed at first but.when i returned for the reception.wow! Everything was perfect. Staff was professional and on top of everything. I ended up booking Hurst Ranch for my daughters sweet 16.

On September 04,2022 I got the privilege to married with my now wife. Everything was exceptional in the Hursh Ranch Historical Center, in West Covina. Moreover, the food was delicious, and many of my family members loved it. Thanks to Donna and Bashful Butler.

Bashful Butler was responsive and helpful along every step of the way. They were upfront about the services, fees, available materials (linens, decor, tables, chairs), and setup options. The venue options were great for what we were looking for. We were able to view the venues that Bashful Butler has contracts with and we were able to have taste tests of the food prior to selecting our buffet meal.

The price of food, service, and venue were within our budget. Seemingly affordable for our 100 guests wedding ceremony and reception compared to other companies. The vendors that are recommended by Bashful Butler were also great and booking them to add to the look and decor of the venue made the reception hall even more beautiful. My guests LOVED LOVED LOVED the food. Mashed potatoes is the way to go!

The only sad thing was the food stays on the property. There's no "to-go" or "left overs" so eat up! Of course, this was also shared up front prior to booking and we decided it was okay, they mentioned the left overs were provided to shelters. Something about a California Law and them not being classified as a restaurant. This could be a deal breaker for some, but if it's not, eat up at the reception!

For this particular venue, Azusa Woman's Club, the chairs for the reception hall are basic conference/ballroom chairs. Metal legs with blue cushions. I researched and purchased chair covers and ribbon sashes from a closing business in order to decorate to my liking the reception hall. You may be interested in renting chairs or finding chair covers like these if your tastes don't include blue chair cushions.

If interested, I'll sell mine. And the day of, there was a team lead for the food, who personally loaded up the bride and groom plates and served it to them. What a lovely touch so the rest of the guests and personal wedding planner could continue with the very busy reception. I'm so happy with Bashful Butler.

The food was absolutely amazIng! We celebrated our daughters 18 th birthday catered by Bashful Butler, I was looking for reviews and getting antsy as I couldn't find much except 'food was good. We had the Lemon herb chicken and roast beef' it was so delicious, we had numerous compliments from our guests about the food. The staff was very professional and very helpful. They were perfect. Everybody had a great time and the food was to die for! I would hire them over again highly highly recommended.

I highly recommend Bashful Butler to cater at any event. The company catered at my wedding of 250 guests. Ben was the absolute best! He brought up little details that I was not aware of and provided suggestions. He was extremely communicative, provided great customer service, and even coordinated a great amount with the venue to help make my wedding run as smoothly.

We booked Bashful Butler for our daughter's backyard Wedding. Ben has a full understanding of a fabulous menu, & timing for a large event. The food was absolutely perfect, delicious combinations & sensational presentation. Chris ran the event & her A Team were extremely professional in our home. Chris has taught the A team manners, etiquette & all those elements that make the difference of catering staff in someone's home.

Our Wedding menu was outstanding. Our 100 plus guest absolutely enjoyed our reception dinner. We chose the Chicken and beef fajitas and green Enchiladas and all the sides. It was all delicious, so moist and tender. Our guest compliments really appreciate and loved the food. I would hire the Bashful Butler for any and all occasions. We had a WONDERFUL event! Ben and his staff were so attentive and really personalized our event! Young Life Walnut Valley is so grateful to everyone at Bashful Butler and Hurst Historical Ranch for helping us to pull off this fundraising dinner for youth!

Bashful Butler Catering is the company we had to contract with due to choosing our wedding to be at the Hurst Ranch. The day of, the staff were great and attending to the buffet table, bar, security guards, staff setting up and cleaning at the end. The coordinators maybe due to COVID or high volume were a bit disorganized. At times it was hard to get in touch and responses were not as immediate as imagined. That made us feel uneasy leading up to the event but luckily communication improved and everything came out great and we were happy on our special day

I hosted a 2021 Graduation Party for my daughter at the Hurst Ranch. The staff at the Bashful Butler were very professional and went above and beyond to assure that everything was perfect! The Fiesta Buffett w/steak and chicken fajitas was delicious and cooked to perfection. Many compliments very given to the beautiful decor, table cloths and napkins and the overall beauty and ambiance of the Historical Hurst Ranch. I would absolutely recommended The Bashful Butlers to anyone looking to host an event!

I am really late in getting this review up, but better late than never. Donna H is an excellent coordinator. She made planning our wedding so easy and stress free. She covered all the details and kept me on my toes (sometimes I need reminding lol). On our wedding day every single staff member was courteous, cheerful and attentive with all our guests. I could not have asked for a better day! Thank you Donna and Bashful Butler!

Ben was amazing. We used Bashful Butler for an after funeral service. The funeral was really expensive and we had a budget. Ben worked with our budget and was really helpful. The staff and food were amazing. Family members gave many compliments. There were many precautions taken; temperature checks, masks, no self serve stations and we felt very safe.

Planning a wedding should be a stressful time, not woth bashful butler and the staff! We were helped by Donna during the preplanning and preparation to the big day. She was always so sweet, genuine and was able to explain to us any questions or concerns we had. I was referred to her by a friend who also used bashful butler and hurst ranch as the venue.

The day before and the day of Annie was helping us to not only get everything done and to our satisfaction but was so calming and ensured everything went off without a hitch! Our guest were very happy with the food service, We kept getting compliments about the food how good it was, specially the Enchiladas. Well served, every one was happy with the portion of food that was served. No one left hungry. They kept telling it was alot of food. Again Dona and Bashful Butler team THANK YOU SO MUCH! Where do I even begin. Teresa from the Bashful Butler was phenomenal to work with! Beyond pleased with how well my wedding turned out. Teresa made herself available to me via phone, text and email day or night whenever I had a question she was always available to provide answers for me in a timely manner. What more could a Bride ask for, she made my whole experience go smoothly.

The food was delicious! The cake was to die for. the entire staff that helped serve at my wedding reception that took place at the covina woman's club was very professional. Annie I hope you get to see this (she was in-charge of the bashful team the day of). Annie did an outstanding job! Everyone left completely happy and hasn't stopped talking about how great my wedding was and how outstanding everyone from the Bashful staff was. Annie catered to my every need with no hesitation made sure everything was going well all night long.

Great venue for vintage/rustic wedding. everyone loved the place and our wedding was a hit. thank u to Annie coordinator the day of our wedding. she went 150% on making our day there run smooth. definitely recommend this venue and this catering company. Only thing the communication with the person who did our contract was very limited and took while for responses to questions we had.

BB catered our wedding at Hurst Ranch on 4/29/17. They were extremely professional, caring, and worked very well with all of our guests, vendors, and our DOC. They were receptive to our concerns, and did what they could to address them. The food was great, and we received many compliments on our cake. Highly recommend.

We had our wedding at the Hurst Ranch in West Covina and it was catered by the Bashful Butler. The staff was very professional and helpful especially Annie she went over amd beyond to made sure the everyone was taken care of. All of the food was so delicious we chose bbq as our menu all of our guest loved the food. I would highly recommend hiring the Bashful Butler for future events.

Thank you for your great service. No issue everything ran smoothly. The young lady in charge of the staff was very cordial and polite Hurst Ranch was a great place to have a barn venue wedding grounds are well kept and beautiful never would have thought this was in the middle of West Covina Food was great everybody loved it the roast beef was tasty the chicken was good everything was perfect even the cake was good 9 out of 10 I would say.thank you again for making my daughter's wedding memorable Only issue is a parking but if you can get over the parking at the ranch then it's all good maybe they can cut a deal with the corner Masons Lodge and you can borrow their parking at a minimal fee just suggestion also personally I would probably get a wedding planner for that day as mother-of-the-bride I was busy trying to make sure everything was running smoothly

Working with Ryan was such a pleasant experience. He was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The food was great and the staff was wonderful. My wedding was a Hurst Ranch, a fantastic place for a wedding!

I used Bashful for my wedding! They went way above and beyond my expectations for sure and were super easy to deal with. I'd use them again.
