15 YEARS AGO, we found our love for the corporate market & It's where our name ""Waterfall" came from. A graduate of the prestgious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Dan Vichie worked in private country clubs all over Pittsburgh, but found his true passion when he discovered a little breakfast & lunch cafe just off the Parkway West.
At "The Waterfall Cafe" he cooked breakfasts and lunches to order - his much loved soups & sauces were made fresh everyday. Our original customers still ask us for thier favorite sandwich & salad. With so many friends and business partners, it was difficult to leave the Waterfall Cafe, but our catering opportunites were being limited by the tiny kitchen and booming ala carte business.
We said goodbye in 2011 and were welcomed to to our new home with The Greater Pittsburgh Carpenters Union. With this amazing goup of dedicated men & women - Chef Dan is now the on-site caterer for these talented professionals. He provides the foodservice for the training classes and other groups that visit the center daily.
