We're artists who love food and know how to cook. We use local, seasonal bounty as our palette. Our food isn't precious or overly complicated (please, no coconut crusted shrimp on sugarcane skewers or Chinese spoons filled with something). We tip our chef's hat to the Italian approach of letting quality ingredients shine. But underlying it all is a deep respect for classic French technique and combinations that make sense.

Regardless of the party's format - sit-down dinner, luncheon, cocktails or buffet we can provide unique food, excellent service and inviting ambiance, attending to all the details, leaving you free to enjoy your guests.
Services
We are a boutique operation, scaled to maximize the attention we give to each culinary event.
Our fresh, seasonal ingredients are carefully chosen and prepared just for you and served with unobtrusive ease.
We will work with your preferences to create a menu that is distinct and innovative.
Our food is traditional, yet original - classic French technique is brought to the table, the "rules" are not.
As you peruse the menu options, and look at the pictures, we think you'll get the idea.
We specialize in private fine dining where seasonal menus are served to you and your guests in your home or chosen venue.
We just had the most wonderful dining experience in our own home with bxvFood as caterer and Hershell as our chef.
The menu was thoughtfully structured to provide variety in taste, texture and color-and was responsive to the needs of one of our guests who is vegetarian, while not constraining the others (Vegetarian Dinner).
Portion sizes were perfect and the presentation was exquisite.
Wine pairings were provided and all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
No room for improvement for an intimate dining experience!
The cost for our signature dining experience is $175 per person (6 person minimum, 14 person maximum).
This is a sit-down dinner with a six to seven course menu of small tasting-size portions.
Items marked with an asterisk on the Basic Menu Options list may incur an additional charge depending on the market price of the ingredients.
This price does not include service or wine.
The cost of buffet dinners are difficult to calculate, so we show a range-but this will give you an idea.
For a buffet dinner with no hors d'oeuvres the cost starts at $75 per person; add hors d'oeuvres and the cost will start at $95, depending on how "heavy" the hors d'oeuvres are.
Balance is key here - not too much cheese, some vegetables, some meat, some fish, something hot.
The main thing is that all the items passed can be eaten in one neat bite.
It's impossible to hold a drink (and a napkin), take multiple bites of something (however delicious) and carry on a conversation gracefully, all at the same time.
Our suggestions here are mostly seasonal but there are the crowd-pleasing "musts" (like the Southern Spicy Shrimp) that are always right.
We offer Sample Menu options in four basic categories: Vegetables, Cheese, Meat and Fish.
A buffet affords a different opportunity (and challenge), where guests serve themselves from a variety of dishes.
Harmony and balance are the keys here, as is sticking to a flavor profile where everything works together, regardless of the combinations selected.
Often, too many things are offered and guests plates quickly become a mess of mismatched ingredients.
Our suggestion is a seasonal or regional or even culture-based menu, with two or three offerings in each area: main course proteins, vegetable sides, starch sides, etc. (The buffet menu will of course be influenced by what has proceeded it, passed hors d'oeuvres, etc.).
