The Real Food Co. of Bethesda was founded by Kathryn Troutman and Cesar Olivos to provide dining services for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, America's Medical School in Bethesda, Maryland. We are passionate about providing high-quality, great-tasting food to our patrons. While keeping busy by being directly involved in day-to-day operations, we constantly strive to add new offerings, improve upon our service, and adjust to the needs and tastes of our valued clientele.
USUHS has an important mission, and we take great pride in nourishing its community of scholars, educators, staff, and guests. Our simple name says it all. The best meals are made from great ingredients, prepared simply. Unlike many cafeterias, we use fresh, real ingredients. This means, for example, that our Pico de Gallo is made each morning from fresh tomatoes, hand-cut onions, fresh cilantro, avocados, and freshly squeezed lemons (never from concentrate).
Is prepared daily. We take pains to crack cage-free, organic brown shell eggs for our omelets instead of using commercially prepared liquid eggs like many cafeterias.
