Mama Frances Soul Kitchen opened from a vision Shirley Crowder shared with her husband Chris Crowder.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Shirley dreamed of having her own restaurant that serves Southern soul food prepared with love, and seasoned with a lot of SOUL, which she learned from her mother, Mama Frances!
In the Spring of 2014, Shirley's dream became a reality and, along with her husband Chris, the doors of Mama Frances Soul Kitchen was open for business!
Located across the street from the La Marque High School, Mama Frances has earned the appreciation of the community since opening their doors.

I was recently in the area for business and was looking for a place to eat and was fortunate to find this place.
The owners were extremely nice people and ended up eating there 3 times in two days because the food was that good.
Everything I had was like a delicious home cooked meal.
You will not be disappointed.
Good people and good food definitely make this place worth visiting.
