We can guarantee that in the history of the universe, no host has ever regretted serving a cheese board. That's because it's among the easiest, most timeless of entertaining hacks and it pleases almost every crowd with minimal effort. Culinary trends may come and go, but good cheese never goes out of style. With just a few. We feel honored to be part of your momentous day.

Whether you're getting married at The Franklin Institute, in a backyard tent or in one of Philadelphia's storied event sites, our friendly staff will help bring your vision to life with style and grace, taking care of all of the details so you can relax. Throughout its history, Frog Commissary has shared a special relationship with The Franklin Institute.

As the Institute's exclusive events caterer, we have been staging parties in its magnificent rooms since the 1980s.
Services
Since its inception in 1976, Frog Commissary has played a vital role in the life of Philadelphia and its events.
Building on the success of the Frog and Commissary restaurants, the catering division was created to bring their distinctive food and bold flavors to special events.
Over the years, Frog Commissary has imagined, planned and executed more than 15,000 stunning bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, parties and galas, as well as dining experiences at some of the city's major cultural institutions.
Founded in the kitchen of Steve Poses, acclaimed restaurant Frog, Frog Commissary is a privately held, family-run company and a cornerstone of the Philadelphia region culinary life.
Under the direction of Poses and Christina Sterner, the firm employs over 200 people and operates out of The Franklin Institute, one of the most distinguished museums in the world.
Frog Commissary also provides premium dining experiences for museum-goers at The Franklin Institute.
Since opening its catering division in 1973, Frog immediately set a new standard.
Frog Commissary has been designing and executing exquisite events for over four decades, and no two events are alike.
Our loyal team's vast experience, aesthetic flair and culinary savvy deliver memorable results for our clients, and we pride ourselves on our ability to get every detail right.
No ideas are too big; no concepts are too elaborate.
Whether you're looking for for butlered hors d'oeuvres and signature sips for a holiday cocktail party, a sit-down, five-course banquet for 500 people, an informal, family-style celebration, a bountiful buffet feast, or anything in between, we will work closely with you to help you find the appropriate style and format for your event.
Frog Commissary got its start in the restaurant business in the 1970s with Steve Poses' legendary eateries Frog and The Commissary.
Today, we are proud to operate the fine eateries of The Franklin Institute, which are open to museum visitors as well as the general public, offering high-quality family-friendly fare at an exceptional value.
Our cafeteria-style eatery in The Franklin Institute is a lively, sun-filled place for a family meal.
Our house-made soups and chicken tenders, crisp French fries, fresh salads and sandwiches, juicy hamburgers and pizzas plus fresh-baked cupcakes and other desserts are familiar enough for kids yet sophisticated enough for parents' palates.
We combine fresh, seasonal ingredients with a wide palette of global accents to create remarkable meals for all our events.
For more information or to schedule an appointment with one of our account executives for any catering event, please contact our Catering Sales Office at 215-448-1196 or events@frogcommissary.com.
In general, the source of most culinary heat is the chile pepper.
The bulk of a chile's heat is in the interior seeds and membrane.
At the top of the Scoville scale, which measures the hotness of peppers, are the habanero and Scotch bonnet varieties.
