In the mid-nineties our mother Livier Salazar, AKA the salsa boss, alongside her brother open the Mexican food restaurant specializing in authentic Sonorian cuisine.
The recipes ranged from modern techniques to family recipes passed down by my grandmother.
Fortunately my siblings and I were able to spend many afternoons and weekends learning about the family business.
In fact many of the recipes that us kids created ended up on the menu, which made us feel like real chefs.
