Hungry Rooster Catering Company LLC began in 2013 by Wendy and Christophe Granger, a food & beverage professional with 41 years of experience, beginning with Culinary School in Paris. Starting a Catering Company & Food Truck is their idea of how to combine an enjoyable skill and satisfying job.
Owned and operated by Wendy & Christophe Granger - Proprietors (and cooks, servers, cashiers, cleaning crew, culinary advisors, business managers, HR directors etc.) The Road Rooster is a mobile kitchen and can often be found at local Eastern Iowa Corridor festivals, farmers' markets and area businesses. Services
The Rooster has been roaming the streets of Cedar Rapids and the Corridor region on a full time basis since spring 2015 (we dipped our feet in the water in 2014 just to get it right!).
We are proud to have worked with the City of Cedar Rapids on the Mobile Food Vendor ordinance established in 2016.
We serve 2 wrapped sandwiches, 2 dipped sandwiches and 2 toasted sandwiches with tasty fries, drinks and desserts.
We serve food that is fresh & clean, that has been properly handled for safety, food that - dare we say - sometimes contains vegetables, food that may or may not be fried but still tastes great!

Depending on the size of the event, we usually arrive on site 1-2 hours prior to opening time and will be prepared to leave within 30 minutes of closing time.
Average service time from order to food delivery is 3 minutes and we can serve multiple guests at one time so we move our line pretty quickly.
Flexibility is the goal because we want to serve to as many people and at as many different kinds of events as we can, but we can't be everywhere all the time and we need our beauty sleep.
So we are happy to serve where there is an estimated attendance of about 700 people per food truck on site.
